U kunt kiezen voor de bus vanaf LAX City Bus Transit Center of de Metro Rail vanaf Aviation / LAX Station. Beide locaties zijn bereikbaar met gratis shuttle bussen die zeer regelmatig vertrekken vanaf alle terminals (Lower/Arrivals Level). Lot South / LAX City Bus Center Shuttle rijdt van het vliegveld naar LAX City Bus Transit Center aan 96th Street, Metro C Line Shuttlenaar metrostation Aviation / LAX. Op LAX City Bus Transit Center kunt u verschillende bussen nemen in de richting van Downtown Los Angeles, maar u moet altijd overstappen op een andere bus om daadwerkelijk in het centrum te komen. Op Aviation / LAX Station kunt u verder reizen met Metro C Line (Green) naar 7th Street / Metro Center Station in het Financial District van Los Angeles, u moet dan nog wel overstappen op Metro A Line (Blue) in Willowbrook. De totale reistijd met het openbaar vervoer per bus of metro / lightrail is ongeveer 1 uur en 15 minuten.
De prijs voor enkele reis is $ 1,75, een dagkaart kost $ 7,00. Tickets zijn verkrijgbaar bij de buschauffeur en ticketautomaten op de stations.
