1. They sleep more

Seriously. We all know how much architecture drawings take time...

So let's replace these all-nighters with a tool that makes the process 30 % faster, shall we?

2. They show off

Does the client want to walk through his restaurant virtually? Let's go!

Does the professor want to see a section on that north-west hidden corner? Blink and it'll be ready!

3. They gain a design superpower

The architect is YOU, and this is just a tool. But hey, I'd rather cut my meal with a knife, not a spoon. So tools can help.

And Revit allows us to design in plans, elevations, sections, & 3D views all at the same time!

4. They see better

That duct was actually going through the beam. Oops. Costly mistake.

About the instructor

Beginner Revit Course for Architects and Interior Designers (7)

Architect & BIM Consultant

Carole Dib

Hello there, I’m so happy to see you here!
Some say that I have an unhealthy obsession with Revit. However, you’d be amazed to know how the story started.

11 years ago, I was an architecture student completely overwhelmed with all the never-ending submissions. I had an elective course of a program called ‘Revit.’

Believe me, with all the deadlines and the stress, it was certainly NOT on my priority list. To make things even worse, the course was early morning. A time where coffee and/or a pillow seems much more alluring.

But still, somehow, something caught my attention. Even though it’s just a tool, it was like suddenly owning a Ferrari.

Ever since then, Revit has been the strongest catalyst of my career. Throughout these 11 years, I worked on dozens of BIM architecture projects; many types, scales, and phases! For the past 5 years, I’ve been working as an independent BIM consultant for several architecture firms in Europe and the Middle East. Also, for the past 3 years, I’ve been teaching Revit to young promising talents such as you.

Luckily, you don’t have to face what I went through to learn Revit. Here, you can learn anytime, anywhere, and have it all on repeat as many times as you need. How convenient is that?

In fact, I promise you two things in this course:

First, I offer you my eleven-year experience condensed on a silver plate!

You ask, why would I reveal all the things that I learned through endless trials and experiments? Good question. I would probably keep some of these secrets to myself if I weren't paid to reveal them...
Okay, okay, and then there's that little happy feeling when I see how much my students enjoy Revit! I can't put a value on that.

Oh, and by now, you’re probably thinking: what a strange instructor to give such a technical course. That’s exactly my second point! I don’t want you to fall asleep while learning. So I promise you a fun and motivational course. My goal is to have you prefer watching this course over Netflix. Mmm...maybe that’s a little bit far-fetched. But why don’t you try it and let me know?

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Instead of taking a course, I’m thinking of learning Revit on my own. Do you think that it’s possible?

Anything is possible when you set your mind to it. Don’t ever let anyone tell you otherwise. However, which road are you going to take to get there?

Do you want to walk down the ‘collection’ path? Some tips from a friend over here, a YouTube tutorial over there, add in an online article, and sprinkle a forum discussion to top it off?

Eventually, with a lot of time and a lot of patience, you will start forming a general idea about Revit. But we all know that time and patience are not exactly our allies in architecture life.

In this course, we’re offering you a hand to walk you along a shortcut path, step-by-step. We indicate in advance where there are traps and thorny bushes. Before you know it, you’d have reached your destination safely.

N.B. Side effects of learning Revit alone might include sentences like: ‘I hate Revit’ or ‘I can’t get anything done with that weird program’, or even worse ‘I missed my submission because of it.’

  • I’m an interior designer. Is Revit for me?

YES! Revit has gained so much popularity in the architecture field, so much so that we often forget how crucial it is for interior design missions.

Can you imagine all the details and the room-by-room elevations & sections that you have to prepare? And then, every time that there’s a modification, here’s to you running from a plan to an elevation to a section to another 3D software. No more of that with Revit. Welcome to the fast modeling world.

  • I’m an interior designer. Is this course for me too?

YES! As long as you fill the requirements above, this course is definitely for you too. As a matter of fact, it was specifically designed for architects and interior designers only.

Keep in mind that this a beginner Revit course that’s applicable for both. And that’s because all the essentials should be known by both parties. For subsequent courses, we’re thinking of introducing advanced Revit courses specifically tailored for interior designers. However, it all starts here.

  • I know a little bit of Revit, so I’m not sure if this course is too ‘beginner’ for me or not.

We invite you to check out the curriculum in details. Take your time, expand all the sections, and read them.

Do most of the titles seem like a foreign language to you?If so, this course is definitely for you.

In contrast, do some of the titles seem somehow familiar? If so, take a pen and note how many. If the things that you know are less than 20-30% of the content of the course, then chances are that yes, you’ll still get a great value out of it!

However, in case you seem to know more than 70-80 % of the sections, you might want to wait for our advanced courses instead.

In case you still can’t decide, e-mail us at courses@arch-mastery.com and we’ll help you evaluate your Revit level with a personalized approach.

  • Will Revit help me find a job?

If you’re searching for a job, there’s one thing we highly recommend: learning Revit. But don’t take our word for it. It is enough to check any job listing for an architects’ position and Revit would almost always be in the mix. Sometimes as a mandatory requirement.

And there’s a good reason for that. The construction world is quickly shifting, and BIM will soon be the only option.
